At Systema Capital Partners, we recognize that creativity is the heartbeat of both art and finance. In this feature, we explore the world of Đorđe Stanojević, a distinguished Serbian painter whose work embodies the elemental forces of nature, creating a symphony of colors and textures that resonate deeply with our approach to innovation and strategic thinking. Just as Djordje’s art captures the essence of natural dynamism, our financial strategies are driven by a commitment to innovative, creative solutions in a constantly evolving landscape. Though the connection may not be immediately apparent, this interview reveals the shared undercurrent of creativity that links our accomplishments.

Đorđe, how do you approach the process of painting?

“Fifteen years ago, I transitioned from the confines of an urban studio to the vast openness of nature. This shift allowed me to weave natural processes into my artistic practice, creating under the open sky, come rain or shine. This approach cultivates a profound dialogue between my art and the environment, allowing each piece to emerge organically from the very elements that inspire it.”

What happens during the process of painting in nature?

“The essence of my work lies in a dialogue with nature. This exchange manifests through the medium of painting, where the canvas, placed directly on the ground, engages intimately with natural pigments and elements. Rather than imposing my will, I allow the elemental forces—wind, rain, sunlight—to guide the creation, resulting in artwork that is as much shaped by nature as it is by my hand.”

Can you explain how natural forces contribute to your paintings?

“I embrace the natural forces as co-creators of my work, observing and gently guiding their interactions with the canvas. This process is a dialogue where intention meets chance, merging into a unified creation. It is through this ongoing exchange that new insights into the world’s energies and rhythms are uncovered, each piece revealing a deeper connection to the natural world.”

How long does it take to create a painting in nature?

“Creating a painting in nature is a gradual process, akin to the growth of a tree—it cannot be rushed. Each piece matures over time, with each layer adding depth and complexity. As the layers accumulate, the artwork is enlivened by its ongoing dialogue with light, allowing its inner essence to fully emerge.”

What do you aim to convey to modern audiences with your art?

“My art seeks to bridge the gap between humanity and nature, offering a medium through which viewers can reconnect with the natural world. Each painting is a portal to new understandings of the energies and flows that define our reality. This approach, which I term ‘Biophilia’ introduces a fresh concept in art, fostering a renewed bond with nature through visual expression.”

How did this partnership with Systema Capital Partners come about, and what made you decide to collaborate with them?

“Systema Capital Partners recognized the vital need to reconnect humanity with nature, integrating the Biophilic Art Concept into their workspaces. This collaboration goes beyond aesthetics—it is a strategic approach to infusing modern business culture with the principles of nature, fostering a balanced and revitalizing environment for both clients and employees. This partnership exemplifies how art and business can work together to rejuvenate the modern human experience.”
